Licensed Professional Counselor
Cameron Joiner is a licensed professional counselor and graduated with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William and Mary University. Cameron has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults both in private practice and nonprofit settings. Cameron is passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community. Cameron has worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She uses a trauma-informed, person-centered, strengths-based, feminist approach in her counseling, and she has experience using cognitive behavioral therapy.
Providing a warm, safe, and open environment during therapy is very important to Cameron. She strongly believes that the most important thing she can do for you is to help you with whatever challenges you are experiencing while supporting you in cultivating your strengths and sense of self-understanding. Seeking therapy can be intimidating, and Cameron has immense respect for the commitment you are making to your growth and healing.
