Doctoral Psychology Extern
Lauren Pollak is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at The George Washington University Professional Psychology Program in Washington, D.C. She provides psychotherapy and psychological assessment under the clinical supervision of Dr. Dee Majko.
Lauren earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgetown University in 2021 and began her clinical work providing behavioral therapy to young children with autism and their families. More recently, she has gained experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in various clinical settings, providing individual therapy, psychological assessments, intake evaluations, and crisis screenings.
Lauren works with clients experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, identity concerns, self-esteem challenges, and emotional dysregulation. While much of Lauren’s clinical experience has been with adolescents and young adults, she enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan, and is interested in working with couples.
Lauren takes a thoughtful and collaborative approach to therapy. Drawing from psychodynamic, relational, CBT and other evidence-based perspectives, she helps clients better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties. She believes therapy can provide a space to explore challenges, develop new insights, and work toward lasting change.
