Sarah King

Doctoral Psychology Extern

Sarah King (she/her) is a doctoral student in George Washington University’s PsyD program. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of treatment settings: inpatient, community mental health, school, and group practice. Sarah’s areas of clinical interest include relational difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, identity development, trauma, and navigating life transitions.

In her current work with therapy clients of diverse backgrounds, she prioritizes creating a non-judgmental, curious, and collaborative space to explore client concerns, experiences, feelings, and cognitions. She utilizes a multi-modal approach, weaving together psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral considerations to best treat the person in front of her. Sarah strives to provide care that is culturally sensitive, flexibly minded, and empathically attuned. She welcomes clients of all racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Sarah works under the supervision of Dr. Dee Majko.
