It can be hard to ask for help when you’re used to coping on your own. But there is no reason to struggle alone. Don’t let your problems cause you to lose sleep, miss time from work, lose a job, or do damage to your relationships.

We use an integrated, psychodynamic, and family systems approach to provide you with individualized care. We see therapy as a collaborative process and believe that, no matter what issues you are struggling with, receiving therapy in a warm and supportive environment can open the door to a better life.
The fit between therapist and patient is crucial in determining whether treatment will be successful. We strive to create a safe, yet challenging, direct and transformative therapeutic space where we are attuned to your struggles as well as strengths.

For most couples, being in a relationship can be challenging. Relationships require ongoing communication and care in ways that are fulfilling for both partners. In intimate relationships, often difficulties revolve around key issues such as communication, emotional needs, money, sexual intimacy, and parenting. Each individual is complex, bringing his or her own fears, hopes, and needs into the couple dynamic. We help couples gain insight about themselves and each other, strengthen communication, and find more effective ways to meet each other’s needs. We will work together to examine limits and boundaries and reflect on how the current relationship is or is not meeting each partner’s needs.
We work with couples of all sexual orientations, genders, and configurations. Working together, we can help you strengthen your relationship, including improving communication, increasing sexual intimacy, healing from an affair, exploring commitment issues, and resolving other problems.
Group therapy is a powerful way to better understand oneself in the context of our relationships.
Often, the patterns that you notice occurring in your romantic, family, and work relationships will also occur in the group. In the group, we will explore those patterns “here and now” as they are being observed by other members in the moment. Group members give and receive feedback about their interpersonal experiences in a judgment-free zone and make changes with the help of the group leaders and other members.

Does school seem like more of a struggle than it should be?
ADHD can affect many aspects of life, and when left undiagnosed can cause a great deal of stress and anxiety. Though the symptoms of ADHD and other learning disorders may vary, if your child struggles to focus or to finish tasks, or experiences frustration when trying to complete assignments, he or she may be showing signs of ADHD. These symptoms can have a big impact on your child’s overall emotional health and well-being.
Evaluations help us understand how to best help your child succeed. Evaluations can help us gain a deeper understanding of the challenges your child is facing. Once an evaluation is completed, families will be provided with a comprehensive report that summarizes the findings, provides conclusions and a diagnosis, assists with Individualized Education Program (IEP) considerations, and provides treatment recommendations. Together we will have a feedback session to further discuss the findings.
Knowing the challenges your child is facing can help us identify strategies to overcome those barriers, reduce frustration, and find success.
Iris Therapy Services also provides immigration evaluations for adults. These include the extreme hardship waiver, the political asylum waiver, and the domestic/spousal abuse waiver. If you are in need of any of the above evaluations, please contact our office to make an appointment.
